We’re old

Our friend Matt loves to joke about how “old” we are though young in age. As I am sitting here in Thomas’ office, we are getting all tickled about a hummingbird that has been regularly visiting the feeder we put up outside. He had been coming around for the flowers in the window box, but we figured the feeder would be more enjoyable, and it has! One of our tomato plants has two baby green tomatoes on it out in our “garden.” Its a garden of buckets, over yonder on the back porch. We have four, no three, green bean plants (one got murdered by grasshoppers) and three tomato plants. We’ve had some problems, but hopefully they will make some green beans and tomatoes. Yum! We’re thankful for duplex life, it affords so many luxuries…

Update - We have seen at least 3 hummingbirds making use of our feeder (and now feeders). They are quite belligerent and moody, dive bombs galore this afternoon as they fought each other. I guess the bird equivalent of crack cocaine will do that.

What you lookin' at?

I understand what you mean about being “old”…sometimes I forget that I am just 23, which is really not at all old. Maybe it is because I work with quite a few single ladies who are older and feel like we have a lot in common…anyway, I miss you guys and would love to eat a tomato that you grew in your garden :)
