On Campus

Today I went on campus to pick up a graduation hood for my genius friend Sonia, who is graduating with her MS in architecture tomorrow. It was the first time I’d been in there since last August, and the MSC has had some changes–and for the better! The whole long corridor from the sliding door entrance to the other side has been carpeted (which makes for a much quieter MSC) and the flag room renovations are complete. It looks really nice and modern, same old flags though. I was pleasantly surprised and it brought back so many memories of studying and hanging out with friends. I continued on this trip through memory lane and walked through the hotel lobby and recalled countless hours spent studying there and talking with my friend Blair. Then I journeyed outside to the fountains in the courtyard and recalled the summer evening we all walked there from Newport and stood in the fountains. Fun times! Outside I saw a group of shirtless, sweaty, middle-aged men who I think just finished a sport of some sort in the drill field. Their hairy guts reminded me of… this blog!
