La Paletera
If you’ve been following the news lately, you’ll have noticed the public ‘debate’ of immigrant rights, legality, etc. Whatever your opinion, mine recently has been focused on the smaller stuff, in particular, one establishment that is a direct result of the increased Latino ‘market’ in the U.S. and Texas in particular. A small San Antonio franchise has a store here that brings a slice of the Mexican culture to us. La Paletera showcases the tasty, cold, and gourmet treats that are, from what attGraham tells me, quite literally, the fruit of a national pasttime in Mexico. If you would like to have the best fruit ice cream bar or cup of fruit you’ve ever had in your life, head on down to La Paletera at the corner of Texas and Southwest Pkwy. Notice in the photo the streams of people lined up outside the door. Oh wait, actually not. The absence of such a line is no indication of the quality of the tasty treats inside, but rather an indication that it is not known about… yet. Therefore, I urge you, go, enjoy, and keep this place in business. I’m eating all I can, but I can only eat so much. Whether you think immigrants from Mexico should stay or go, one thing is for sure, their popsicles should stay.

So, Alan and I tried La Paletera and it was GREAT!! We loved it and will definitely recommend it . Thanks for the recomendation!
