Thanksgiving
My mom recently moved to a new house in a new town (Athens) so we went to see her. Thankfully, my brothers, sisters-in-law, and sister all made it to the same place for the first time since my younger brother’s wedding six months ago.
Josiah enjoyed all the attention he received from his Nana and everyone else around. Here he is with his Aunt Amanda and her new haircut.
On Friday, after all of the other relatives were gone but us, we explored a small corner of Athens with my mom and Woody. Athens is home to the Texas Wildlife Fishery Museum, and we went there. Yes, it is a real place with more information than you ever wanted to know about fresh-water fishing in Texas. There is even a real hatchery there.
We saw some really huge catfish, some bigger than Josiah. Here is a wall of them. You can buy fish food for a quarter in a candy dispenser and feed it to the fish. They know the drill.
There were three alligators there also. Josiah was a bit uneasy about those guys.
This is one of my favorite pictures from the day. Josiah was very interested in the fish. At one point, he wanted to touch them.
