Seventeen Months Update

Hmmm… With all this staph business, I’m not sure if I can remember much about this month, but here are some highlights. First, this is the shirt he made Thomas for Father’s Day. Actually, he didn’t make it, but he watched me intently as I sewed on the letters. It says, “I heart Dada.”

Josiah got another tooth a few weeks ago, making for eight total. He has been eating very well lately, and I would say that his favorite foods (besides pretzels and crackers, of course) are broccoli, beans, rice, and noodles. He loves eating with a spoon or fork, and went a few days refusing to eat unless he had one. He also loves raisins!

His favorite activities this month include running around the house, taking baths, pushing his frog push toy, wearing his firefighter boots (thanks, Erin!), reading books, trying really hard to “drive” his car, playing with matchbox cars, and helping me vacuum. He loves the vacuum and asks me to vacuum almost everyday. He calls it, “mow” since it runs along the ground similar to a lawnmower. Anything dragging on the ground is mowing, including Josiah dragging a towel around the house.

He is also very fascinated with his grandparents photos in his “Who Loves Baby?” photo book. The easiest to say, and the one he has seen a lot of lately is Pa. He loves to talk about Pa and point him out in his book. Pa brought him a John Deere tractor toy last week, and almost every time he sees it, he says “tractor, Pa” and then signs thank you. It’s really cute. My mom wants to be called “Nana”, but Josiah says, “Neiney” which is also how he says, “heiney”, another of his favorite words. Some interesting words he has learned this month are: heiney, Pa, oval (yeah, of all the words), star, and tomato. He enjoyed helping Pa sweep out his truck last week.

sooo glad the boy is feeling better. Colby remembers him during prayer time and asks if “Siah” is coming over every time I go to the door. :-)

I love the video. I’m telling you - Danny’s not going to let me visit your website any more because I end up wanting my own Josiah. And the thought of babies and studying for Seminary makes Danny feel about as good as having the stomach flu. Anyways - Josiah is precious - keep us updated on his recovery!

Oh my gosh, I’ve been busy and haven’t checked your site and had no idea that Josiah was sick! I’m so sorry! I’m glad he’s feeling better, though. He’ll be in my thoughts for sure. (Not that he isn’t, of course, but I’ll add more.)

That’s a great pic of he and Daddy. I love it.
