The Big Brother Room

Tonight is Josiah’s first night to sleep in the “Big Brother Room”. We’ve been talking about what a big deal it is and playing in there for a couple weeks now, but today, we bit the bullet and moved the crib in there (no way are we messing with his sleep right before a new baby is around to mess with mine enough). He cried for a second as I got up to leave and he asked me to stay with him for a while, but he calmed down after a short discussion on how everything was the same, just in the big brother room now. He sang songs and talked for almost half an hour, but is sound asleep now, hooray!

Just what does this wonderful sounding Big Brother Room look like? Well, let’s take a little look. This is the Big Boy Bed before we put the crib at the foot of the bed. My father’s very talented wife painted the truck for us. You can’t see, but there is a little Josiah and a little Pa in the window.

And the train table is out of the living room!

Josiah likes it, too. This is how he smiles for the camera. Didn’t you know that was a smile?

I’m glad the first night went so well - woo hoo!!! The wall art rocks! Did you make the little framed ones as well? Bronius is working on some canvas art for D’s walls but we have no idea when they’ll be done… I hope soon! Art makes such a difference on our blank walls!

When I first saw the title “Big Brother Room” I thought, “Wow. I know he’s smart and all, but isn’t Josiah a little young for Orwell?” :D
