It’s Supercinskiad Time!

Opening Ceremony

It’s that time of year once again… SUPERCINSKIAD! If you have no idea what I am talking about, then you can read more about it here, here and here. We are now in our fourth year of annual competition overload. Everything goes down this weekend, as it has every year of our marriage during Independence Day holidays. I’m guessing it will continue for several days after the weekend is over… things are a little more hectic lately.

All this prolactin surging through my system has made my competitive desire extremely low (can you believe it?), but I’m holding on to the hope of regaining the title. In discussing our ground rules last night, we agreed that we would take turns wearing Annalise in the Moby to preserve fairness, but not during leg wrestling (shh, don’t tell my midwife). We’ll still be playing the Olympic theme song during opening ceremonies and medaling. Oh to be a fly on the wall during it - you’d get a good laugh!

Stay tuned for results whenever we get done.

Five Weeks

July 2nd, 2008 by Rachel

Annalise is already five weeks old. In some ways, I feel like she’s been with us forever. I guess less sleep makes for longer weeks. I’m glad Thomas is keeping things interesting on this blog, because all you are going to get from me is baby stuff.

First smiles this weekend

Her hair curls when wet, just like Josiah’s did as a babe.

Enough already!

Have a smile
