Annalise is 13 Months Old
Our Sweet Girl is growing fast–she is pulling up and cruising along everything, walking holding onto one or two hands, climbing onto everything her little legs can reach and getting into everything she can find. This explains my lack in posting lately–my Annalise-free time is spent doing chores around the house, not leisurely on the computer.

Annalise brings us many smiles with her enthusiasm for play. She really thinks she is as big as all the other kids. This morning at the park, she was trying to chase (crawling) Josiah and another boy on their bikes. She loves playing at the park and attempting to climb up things, climb up the stairs, slide and swing. She is fearless in the water and loves playing in the pool, sprinkler, splashpad and bath–she even sticks her face in the water and blows bubbles! At home, she enjoys playing with her baby dolls, stuffed animals, balls, the big car, the push-walker/rider toys, and just about any little person or animal. Josiah and Annalise are playing together a lot more these days. I love hearing her laugh and squeal as they play–he gets more laughs than we do!

She is signing some and saying a few words. Her favorite words to say are, “no, no”, “all done”, “bye-bye”, “DaDa”, “Momma”, and “Ba!” (Josiah). She signs “all done” and “dog”. She is working on “bird”. If I could just get her to sign more about food, she might not be yelling so much.

Speaking of food, Annalise is a really great eater. She will try just about anything in finger-food format if she is hungry. Josiah was not this way, so this is a relief. She loves fruits, most vegetables, and pretty much whatever we are eating if it isn’t too spicy or too tomato-based.
Annalise is still taking two naps. One from about 9:30-10:30 and another from 1:30-3ish. She sleeps from about 7-7 at night with a night waking or two.
Like I said, Annalise loves to climb on things. Here are some examples:

Not to mention getting on the train table, standing on the kid-sized table in the kitchen, climbing up the slides at the park, and so forth. You get the idea. Josiah was so cautious in comparison.
I am going to attempt to work on a video later today–hopefully there will be one coming soon.
#2 is always adventurous! Just wait until she’s bigger and can consciously make decisions to take a stool (any stool) and climb to anywhere that height will take her!
So crazy- Elaine and Annalise are so much alike! Elizabeth, like Josiah, was my easy going, cautious gal, while Elaine, like Annalise, is quite the daredevil! I love the pic of you and the kids; you look great!
I agree with the above two posts. Don’t know why but it seems 2nd children seem more daring at least in my experience. Marisa is already finding stools to climb onto things. It’s not a surprise to find her on top of the kitchen table! Great pics Rachel!
yep- that sounds right for my 2 also!
so good running into you the other day!
